This engine doesnt use a traditional valve cover gasket, instead Volkswagen and Audi use anerobic sealant to prevent oil from leaking out. Once the valve cover on your engine is removed you will need to remove the old sealant from all surfaces. This includes cleaning out the channel that sealant sits in on the cam cage/valve cover.Â
